Job title: School Business Manager – All Saints’ CE VA J&I School
Start date: Immediate

Salary Grade SO1, 23-25: £26,999 - £28,785 per annum


Actual salary, pro rata to hours worked will be Point 23 - £24,299 to Point 25 - £25,906


Package: 37 hours per week, term time only (224 days) + 10 additional days. Permanent.

We are looking to appoint a School Business Manager to lead our friendly office and support team and work closely with the Head.


All Saints’ is a successful 1 form entry, Voluntary Aided Church of England Primary School for children from 4 to 11 years old. As school finances become increasingly restricted, our School Business Manager needs to be skilled in managing resources effectively and in developing strategies to maximise funding opportunities. They will report to the Headteacher and Governing Body on the status of the school’s finances and make recommendations for effective expenditure. Knowledge of financial management systems is essential along with strong personal organisation skills, ability to meet deadlines and have a friendly persona and positive attitude.


The successful candidate will also be responsible for the management of personnel matters in the school and will be responsible for maintaining the school's Single Central Record. They will be responsible for ensuring that relevant health and safety standards are met and will work closely with the Site Manager to manage premises maintenance and improvements, ensuring that best value is obtained in contracts with external providers.


You will have:
Experience of budget and financial administration including using ICT systems for management of financial information.
Experience of working in a customer orientated environment dealing with a range of partners.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop an effective team working with colleagues and partner agencies.
A warm, welcoming and supportive character and a good sense of humour.

We are looking to appoint a Teaching Support Assistant. Their role will be varied as they will work in our breakfast club before school, then as a teaching assistant followed by supporting during the lunch break as a midday supervisor.
