Before and After School Clubs
Before and After School Clubs allow children to let off steam outside the classroom and provide an alternative to the three R's which can be hugely rewarding. Research demonstrates that academic grades can improve when children participate in extra-curricular activities. Clubs are really good for helping children develop social skills, deal with new environments, talk to different adults and mix with other children. Learing a new skill can affect what happens in school - children feel more confident and able to try new tasks!
Mrs Stackhouse is our Extended Schools co-ordinator. One of her jobs is to organise our many clubs and after school activities which allow our pupils to experience a wider range of activities than we can offer during the rest of the school day.
